'67 442 Convertible Top leaks in back in boot

Hi All, this is very frustrating. I am constantly weary of driving the car to work because the convertible top leaks - mostly in the boot behind the back seat. The car is always garage kept. The top is in like-new condition. Are there any tips to look for to seal the top so it does not leak? I left it out in the rain once and it was like a mini swimming pool in the back boot.

It also leaks on the passenger side seat a little bit. That could be from wear the window reaches the top.

Sincerely,
Matt

I just did a garden hose test and I least with the garden hose it did not leak in the well. But it did leak by the zipper on both sides and dripped down the car. It would be unnoticeable had I not checked. It looks like there is a hole on each side of the frame on the floor board - are these on purpose to drain any water that leak down the edges? I guess what am I saying, is a water leak on the edges expected and was just supposed to drip down the car and drain to the ground or are is your 442 water tight?

There is a plastic "rain gutter" that attaches below the top to body interface area and channels the water to the drain ports on either side of the car. I'd start with verifying the gutter is in place on your car and doesn't have holes or cracks.

There is not a plastic rain gutter on 67s only 68 up convertibles. 67 has kind of a metal lip that does that as part of the body. I was the body shop manager in a Chevrolet/Oldsmobile store and I do not think I ever saw a convertible without some leaks.

66-67 have a metal rain gutter type arrangement just under the attachment point for the rear curtain at the very rear. This directs water forward in front of the wheels wells and it drains through holes below. There are also holes in two containment reservoirs under each top cylinder that would direct hydraulic fluid out should there be a failure.

Thanks for the education about the rain gutter difference on the earlier 'verts.
