70 Cutlass Supreme SX Conv. I know the grill mounts to the radiator support with machine thread type bolts which I have. However, where the two grille halfs meet in the center and where the headlight surrounds meet the grille on each side - is there supposed to be a j-nut type clip on the plastic grill and then you use a sheetmetal type threaded screw? I think the center had a panhead type phillips screw to hold the two grilles together but I can't remember - there must have been a j-nut or u-nut clip for the screw to go into? My new grilles did not come with these and I have no old grilles to compare.

I have the screw if you need one...It is similar to a #14 Pan head Phillips screw with sheet metal threads .

C'mon Patton, I still have coffee cans of bolts that I took out of cars in the 1970s.

(the fact that they're in coffee CANS should tell you something about how long I've had them - and these are real three pound cans)

Oh man...don't get started on original fasteners and collections thereof. I'm at the beginning of a more serious effort to move forward with my collection and get things replated. I think the darn things have been reproducing while sitting in the various containers I have them in. Some I beadblasted at least 20 years (or more) ago.

Also - I also think these recent postings that are post #1 or so for whoever is posting are from bots or are fake.
