65 442 starving for fuel

I rebuilt the enigne with original 4gc carb, new fuel pump, pulled tank and cleaned it, and she starts and runs like a champ. After she gets warm it seems to quit pumping fuel as I notice the fuel filter goes empty.....even at idle it wont fill up This only does it after 10 mintes of warmup time. Is that what happens with a faulty fuel pump? I'm changing it out tomorrow but maybe someone bought a bad pump outta the box too or I have other issues. Fuel lines new btw except for the steel one along frame, but it cant be clogged because at startup i have lots of fuel

I would not assume that the fuel pump is not working properly just looking through the clear fuel filter. What I would do is throw a fuel pressure gauge on t and see what it's doing. Does the car stall or fall on it's face during a long wot run?

Do you have any actual running problems, or do you just not like the looks of the fuel filter?

Double check all your fuel lines, if all your lines look good then a new fuel pump is probably the likely culprit.

Run a test

A pressure and volume test on the fuel pump should tell you if there is a problem with it or anything further back in the line or tank.

Put a vacuum gauge on the suction side of the pump, also you may have rust holes in the frame line.

Check your gas cap also, should be vented if not it can cause a vacuum in the tank stopping the fuel from coming out.
