Oil pan removal..

Can I remove the oil pan while the engine is in the car? Someone told Me I would have to raise the engine to do this. Its a 68 442 convertable. I was hoping to put the car on jack stands and remove the pan.

You will have to raise the engine off the mounts. There is not enough room to slide pan back and out due to engine frame cradle.
