I have a 72 Cultass Conv with a 455 that dyno'd at 300hp at the rear wheels. The fuel pump I have leaks. the top and bottom screw together and the screws continue to come lose and it starts to leak.

What would be a good fuel pump to replace it with? Prefer just to get a new one that works than continue with this one.

Get the 40736 fuel pump.

It has bigger capacity for the 455.

 

I'm running a stock replacement pump from O'reilly on my 455 that dynoed at 492 HP/ 544 TQ, other than high RPM I can't tell it's a stock pump. It's feeding my Holly HP950 just fine.
