My 3 core ran hot on 100 degree days. I say hot but it ran 210 with a 160 thermostat in it. I'd go 4 core.

mmm i drive a 2 core from the original 350 in my 69' 88 with now a 455 in it.

no problems, i put the right pressure cap on it and a new fanclutch.

even stay'd under 200F at 100+ m/h on the autobahn

Just trie, and buy it when needed

I have the original '71 Olds 98 radiator cooling the 455 that it came from the factory w/ using a 160 degree thermostat. The engine stays cool and even last summer, the temp never got to 180, and I'm in central Texas. That stock radiator sure doesn't look like any three or four core.

depending how i use mine, 176F? (80degree celcius) is my normal temp.
As i refer, it went just below 212F (100degree celcius) after a goose chase on the german auto bahn.

After longer periode of 100m/h and id did'nt get hotter than that.
your tempsender gives hot at 248F !!! take or less 2F (1969 unit)

if it blows, the fault is the radiatorcap or the mixture should be 14 til 17psi and a 50/50 mixture (1969)

the normal temp range should be in 180/ 190 F as with normal enviroment temps the
The radiator will not do much with temps below 180/ 190, is it more than that the thermostat opens and cools the engine faster.

i'd have a 160 thermostat in it, and it take's longer to get the engine on normal working temp after cold starts.
This is not a problem in summer or hot weather.

So just trie, or buy a new radiator.

I do have it on my wish list, a nice alu radiator.
reason why, it is clean! and new. no rust or plain water use residu.
