Wear in block where distributor runs goes

Someone did not put right plug in back of block to oil cam gear and distributor. Now looking at block it has a lot of wear where the distributor sets. It has some deep grooves. What is the fix if any putting new cam and distributor in it. Oh yet and right plug Any help will be appreciated

I wouldn't worry about it in the block if the distributor shaft is good with proper amount vertical play (minimal).

I have used a brass washer as a shim with a worn block.
