Alas, I don't think you will be able to find headers for your 1984 Olds 98. You might ask J-Chicago. He is a member here that specializes in 80s B/C bodies. He would know for sure.

You can usually make the A-body headers fit the 77-90 B-body cars, but you will need to remove the bolt-on diagonal frame braces. I'm not sure I recommend that. Alternately, W/Z manifolds will work. I suspect your car has an 8.5" axle, but it MIGHT be an 8.75". If the latter, parts are tough to find.

WOW, THANKS I LOV THIS CAR BUT I MIGHT SELL IT AND GO WITH A G-BODY, KNOWING ITS EASIER TO WORK WITH ON A BUDGET. 1978 OLDS CUT-DAWG MIGHT BE THE WAY TO GO. BY THE WAY HOW IS THE 1976 OLDS OMEGA SX AS A STREET PERFORMER WITH A NICE 450 HP OLDS MOTOR? CAN IT HOLD UP BEING A UNI-BODY? HOW MUCH DOES IT WEIGH?

An 84' 98 will usually have a 7.5" rearend. 2.41 gears with a 3 speed trans, and 2.73 gears with an overdrive trans.

As Joe stated, A body big block headers will fit, but you will have to roll the 1/8" firewall lip back, remove the frame braces, dent the headers in 1/4" by the lower control arm about the size of a quarter, and possibly oval the passenger side tube by the frame rail. I had a cheap set of A body headers that I had to heat and squish 1 tube so it didn't rub the frame rail. The tube looks like an elipse instead of a cylinder now, but it isn't kinked.

Use 307 motor mounts on your 425 block.

I have found that the delta 88 headers for the 70's cars will fit perfect in 77-79, olds 98's I'd have to look at mine and see what model they are. They are the only perfect set of headers I've ever owned, and if they ever rust out I'll be heartbroken.

Also, don't let the trend fool you. 88 and 98 upgrades are a lot cheaper and easier than G bodies.

The headers that were a perfect fit were Hedman 58150.
I just went outside and looked for you.

That is cool info J. I wonder if those Hedman headers would be a perfect fit for the 71-76 B/C body. They are definitely priced right!
