Hello all. I am looking for a single piston for 1972 olds 455 it has the single notch. I saw one in jegs but I am not sure on if it will work I am kinda lost here and stuck right now any help would be a blessing. Feel like I'm losing the summer

 

Did you check with EGGE ???

I would trust them to replicate a factory OEM piston as close as possible
Good luck trying to find any one aftermarket piston from any "vendor" that will be close to the same

Agreed that Egge is the best source. Jegs or Summit will most likely not have what you want.

 

Are your pistons oem originals or aftermarket ? There must be some numbers on them somewhere ?? The biggest problem with getting a single replacement will be getting one that is the same weight as the others that you have. I have a 455 I am working on at the shop but all I have is the block and crank. Customer has all new aftermarket pistons and rods. I can ask him if he has the originals and see what they are.
