425 fuel problem ??

Hi when i drive my 98 -65 for a while and the engine gets warm and stop the engine for about
30 minutes and should drive again the engine will stop when i put in R or D. This gets better if the car runs
on idle for a while before shifting gear..Have not this problems with my 88 -65 or GMC truck ( new fuel pumps in both )
This does not happen when engine is cold or a quick engine stop and driving again.

Have a wix fuel filter just above fuelpump.

Why do you think it's fuel as opposed to ignition? Points or an electronic conversion?

Hi it,s points and dwell ok. If i came home from work ( 15 miles ) and park
the car for a while and later should drive in to my garage the engine will die
when i get a little throttle to get in to the garage so i must wait a little.Sometimes
the engine dies when putting in R or D.
So i suspected an fuel issue , but this have never happend when i coldstart
the engine only after i parked when engine hot.

If it's percolation, you should be able to see the vapors inside the carb. It's also very possible to be a heat-related coil issue.

Thanks should check this up . It has been very hot here last years about 90F in the shadow
and summer -18 was very hot.
Have tried to move the fuelfilter to above the fuelpump earlier and have fuelhose to the carb
shortest way.
