Anyone ever use a XE268H Comp cam?

I'm close to buying a XE268H comp cam for a 9.5-1 455 Olds with a 4 speed 3.42 gears, with manifolds. I had a comp cam lose a lobe on a 454 BBC a couple years back after about 900 miles, I did have some super stiff springs and wasn't aware of the zinc issues. Is there a someone out there that has ever used one? I am looking for low end power and a fair idle.
I would sure like an pinion.
Thanks

IMHO you want a split lift/duration cam unlike a Chevy.

I agree with 380 racer, especially since you're using manifolds. You could use the extra lift and duration on the exhaust side.

You don't have to pick something off the shelf you know. Most cam companies will do a custom grind for a just a few bucks more. I did a Lunati Hyd. Flat tappet for a SBO, ran awesome. Specs were 223/231 @ .050 on a 108, .525/.550 lift. Just a suggestion.

I guess I need to consider a custom grind. The Olds 268 is a split duration 224 230@.050. The numbers seem to be where I want them. I had Ultradyne do that in the past and they seemed to work great. I would like to keep the lift low enough for stock springs and I'm more interested in having low end torque than high RPM HP. I have a Voodoo cam in my BBC and it worked out very nicely. I think I'll call Lunati tomorrow.
Thanks guys.
