We need a lot more information. But first guess is you have an ignition problem. Double check the timing and make sure the plug wires are in the correct order. You do know the distributor rotates anti-clockwise?.

Best first guess on little info is the distributor is 180 degrees out. If your getting spark an fuel re stab the dizzy 180 degrees and see if that works

I tried turning 180 degrees and i tried anther distributor both are HEI . I don't think I'm get fire . I tried to check for fire with a test light . My wire going to the distributor is hot . i have it coming from my fuse box pigy back with my fuel pump . I thought of running it on a line by it seft .

Run a jumper wire to batt terminal on the hei, just remember to turn the engine off you need to remove the jumper. If you have a tach hooked up disconnect it for now. If its back fired you have spark. Make sure you have the wiring order correct, wired CCW. Ensure your rotor is pointing to the #1 distributor cap post when the #1 cylinder is at TDC.
