More, startup advice

Didn't want to hijack the thread below. In our case we have several cars and at least two haven't been started since the late 80's. I heard somewhere that you should pull the plugs and squirt a little motor oil into the cylinder. Is that necessary or is the advice below plenty good enough?

I heard that too. And since this car is in the UK (humid conditions) I'd do the same.

What are your plans for the cars just to move them or to get running for driving. A car that has been setting for 20+ years. I would be weary checking and replacing a lot of things.

Personally I would pull the engine and rebuild it. If you have any long term plan for the car. If you plan on just selling the car, then sell it as is. I know that if I was buying a car that has been setting that long with plans to restore. It not running wouldn't effect me buying
