correct '70 W30 auto vacuum advance
correct '70 W30 auto vacuum advance
My distributor needs a new vacuum advance. I looked at my extra W30 distributor and it is numbered MS 408 24 which I think is incorrect. I also have an NOS Niehoff number DR-322 on the box with stamped numbers on it 436 20. Would either of these work? If not, what applications are they for and where can I find a correct replacement. I believe the ones sold by the box stores are all too generic now-a-days.

thanks, after more research i found this info about the 427
1973427
VACUUM ADVANCE unit for pts Dist'r.
Stamped "MS 427 16" = 16 Crank Degrees advance possible.
Starts at 10-13" Hg., 4.2-7.3 °Dist @ 16" Hg., 7.2-12.8 °Dist @ 25" Hg.<= per 70 CSM
The last number correlates to the vacuum advance so the two I have both are too high. One at 20° the other at 24°
Anyone know a part number for a replacement unit with 16° advance. Or have an extra NOS one they are willing to sell?
Thanks
