Would You use these piston rings? Quick Seater Brand
So I am putting together an E block 400. It has just been bored .030 and I have these rings laying around. See Picture. I want cast rings like these are but am worried about the brand, never heard of them and don't want to put junk rings in my fresh rebuild. TkS
Why do you want cast rings? What ring type did they hone it for?
I have had no issues with cast rings and I like the way they seat, instantly it seams. It is a stock rebuild with cast pistons, I assume they finished the cylinder walls for a stock rebuild. Thats what I told them.
Am I seeing this right? The paperwork in the picture shows those are 4.125, and you said you have a .030 over 400E block (4.030" bore).
You are correct as far as I can tell, Duhh! I was sure they were for a 400, thats what I was told when they were given to me years ago.... so that answers my question! Guess it pays to read. Thanks
