I don't exactly know what you are asking, however i can offer up this much. Your model designation for a 98 is 38400, either a 39, 57, 67, or 69 inlieu of the last two 0's, that designates sedan, town car ect. I do not show that model, but I can try to idendentify the engine for you. On the oil fill standpipe, you should have (hopefully) two letters, and below that some numbers that are date code stuff. If you can give me the two letters I can tell what engine it is, if the letters are gone I can guess, if you can tell me 2 or 4 barrell carb.

If the engine is original in a 1970 Olds 98 it would be a 455 engine and E heads.....sounds to me like he wants the car just for the engine and heads....but maybe not.....the letter E should be on the cylinder head just above and to the left of the #1 sparkplug. The #1 sparkplug is the first plug on the driver's side nearest the front of the car.
