Where is this coming from?

Hi All,
I looked under my front passenger side area today and found a lot of grease/oil gunk under the car. What is it and where is it coming from? I have no stains or leaks on the floor in that area.
It is behind the radiator and to the side of the engine.
Thanks,
BQ

All cars look like that after about ten years or so.

Yours has been around a lot longer than that.

My thought was oil, but I will check the trans lines too.

Is it possible to have an oil line or cooler up there?

Check power steering lines (especially the return line).
Check the transmission oil cooler fitting to the radiator.
Check your steering box for leaks too.

The leak could also be blown around due to the operation of the fan. Check out all the "grungy places" and clean them up. Then monitor, it will show up.

All good advice, but I would say that if this is not a restored car with an obvious wet area, and if its not leaving puddles like a puppy, don't worry about it - you'll drive yourself crazy.

If you ever clean it all up, you can look for a source then, otherwise, let it go.

The Dr. is in, but stumped.
If you know the story...Race left and went on a trip with Jade.
He is not thinking about my car at the moment.

I will clean it and look for a culprit.

I have a slight leak at my oil pan/timing chain cover that makes the same mess. The fan blows it all over the place
