Valve Cover Clearance

Curious if I will have any clearance issues in my engine bay when using the tall GMPP cast valve covers I just acquired. 1970 Cutlass, 455, power brakes, non-AC.

The brake booster is the standard size (11"?). Will that make contact, should I look at a 9" or something else?

You will have issues with the power brake booster.

Along with just about all of the accessory brackets.

I should have thought of all this before snagging the valve covers, but man I do like them. I may have to go with a hydroboost system to get around the booster clearance.

Unscientific guesswork looking at a couple photos....I don't see any potential issue with the power steering (left side of engine), but I can see how the upper alternator bracket on the right side of the engine will be a problem. Any ideas on how people have overcome the bracket issues in the past? (I do have complete sets of all AC and non-AC brackets on hand)

Are there any other areas that need to be addressed?

I'm also now wondering if there will be clearance issues with the heater core/fan box on the firewall? I won't be heartbroken not having heat, but my wife/co-pilot might not be as happy lol

Those covers work just fine with the Non AC alternator brackets.

Wow. I have to admit that I'm surprised. I would have expected even that alternator bracket to have a clearance issue.
