Valley pan intake gasket

Is there a difference between the 68 to 72 and the 73 to 76 intake gaskets? There are different listings online based on model year. I have a stock intake #412753 with emissions deleted on a F serif 455 block with E heads. The motor came out of a 1973 car. Don't know which model. What would be a good brand?

I know one difference is the cross over section of the gasket. I'm referring to the size of the hole. You'll need the earlier one since you have the E heads which are 1970.

OK. So the cross over hole on the E head is bigger or smaller? Other than the provisions for emissions on the 73 intake, is there any differences in a pre 73 intake over the 73 and later which would affect performance?

I believe the cross over hole is larger on the later J head. I asked this same question awhile back. https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...askets-123587/

I would prefer not having an egr on my intake. I have no idea on the performance aspect.
