I haven`t done a mock up yet with my motor and trans and was wondering what trans to use with my stock driveshaft... short tail or long tail which will work with a stock driveshaft?

Not sure which transmission your looking at, but the TH400 longtail shaft was only used in full sized cars. The 1966 Booick Skylark I bought a few years back did have a long tailshaft TH400 in it, but he had to have a driveline custom made to use it. I think I've still got that driveline if you needed it. I know there were also different lengths for the TH350, but the only ones I've seen in 1964-72 A-body cars were the shortest ones. I've been told the 2004R is the same length as the TH350. I've got cores of all these out back. If this didn't cover what you need let me know what your going from and to. I've also got turbine 300 cores so if you need me to measure one of those I can do it as well. John

 

John I have one of each but like I said I have not mocked one up...... just trying to see if I can skip at set up is all ......just lazy .
