summit exhaust system???

Has anyone used the summit exhaust systems? I have been looking at the American Thunder kit from Flowmaster in Summit's catalog and saw there system for half the price. I have used the Flowmaster kit on a Chevelle I did and liked it. What is the Summit kit like? Anyone try it??

I haven't used Summit exhaust systems but I have one of thier HEI distributors on my 71 98. I am very happy with it. You generally can't beat their price. You might want to check around for a local shop that can do your exhaust. I had duals put on my 71 98 for less than $400 (everything except the mufflers).

Summit system would not clear my rear tires so keep that in mind if you you plan on filling up the rear wheel wells

I'm pretty happy with the OEM Garnder Exhaust system I got for my '68. Now, maybe you're not going that route, but it's pretty nice to be able to simply install the entire system with absolutely no cutting or welding. I think the price ends up levelling out if you have to pay someone to put in the other system.

Anyway, just a thought....

Decided to go with the American Thunder kit from Flowmaster. I was real happy with the install and sound on my 68 SS Chevelle. National Parts Depot had it in stock and they are right here in town. No shipping fees! Now to find time to install it.
