Looking for suggestions for intake manifolds for a big block 425 and some mods you all have done to get a bit more pep out of them. Also looking to source up small things like wiper blades for instance, got any places to look where you all get them, car is a 65 delta 88. It’s my daily just shoot ideas and suggestions, for a bit of back story I’m 20 and learning this **** as I go, hasn’t been awfully hard at all but a lot of you have been doing this for a very long time.
Any 455 intake fits a 425. Given your heavy car, I'd stick with a Performer 455. Your stock 4GC carb will need to be changed with the intake change. That ripples through a whole bunch of collateral damage such as carb accelerator linkage. This is a problem because on your car, the switch for the trans kickdown and switch pitch control is an integral part of that linkage. You'll also want dual exhaust, but you'll need to get the repro of the specific driver side exhaust manifold used on these cars, due to the unique location of the steering box.
It’s my daily driver that gets some more miles on the weekends with some occasional beatings on it. Dual exhaust on it Already, stock motor as far as I know from what the previous owner said and how it feels. It’s the 2gc 2Brl carb. Just thought with the dual exhaust that a 4Brl with an intake would help it flow just a tiny bit better, maybe some better throttle response or something but mostly want to upgrade it to learn how to do the **** on it.
