Engine swap for 65 Delta 88

Does anyone know if a 71 350 Rocket will fit into a 65 Delta 88?
Any issues that might arise?

Sure, it'll fit fine.

It'll have about half the power, but it'll fit.

Issues would involve the carburetor linkage if one is a 2bbl and the other is a 4bbl, and the exhaust pipes might need a little "adjustment" to meet the manifold outlets, but nothing insurmountable.

Put all front accessories from old engine onto new engine to maintain harmony. There is a chance that the '65 BB brackets, being fairly early, may not also have the proper holes for installation onto SBs, but I do not know this.

Exhaust manifolds may be an issue. The manifolds from the 425 probably won't work, due to the taller deck height of that motor. You'll need the manifolds that were used on the 330 motor in the 65 Jetstar 88, or equivalents.

Of course, use the 2262/2263 motor mounts from the 425 on the 350, and bolt them to the front two of the three motor mount holes in the block.
