Stupid question on distributor timing

This might be a silly question, but on the distributor, which is the number one cylinder? Or rather, which two cylinders flank the little dwell flap? Then I can work out where the other ones are on a 67 toronado 425. Guess all the olds engines would be the same. Just did my intake manfold gasket…again. This time did not use the rubber strips they gave me with the kit. Last time they got pressed out on the sides. Engine leaked oil and ran terribly.
Took photos of the position of the rotor and distributor, but forgot to make a mark on the distributor cap for the number one cylinder.

Just to make sure it's timed correctly, I will cheat instead of typing and use the tutorial on line.

Very good. Thank you. Will turn the harmonic balancer to TDC, and make sure the rotor points to the number one on the pic.
