Stock stall??425

Need to think about the stall converter...was thinking 3000 is to much and leaning toward 2600? Is my stock 1965 delta converter in this range?

Particulars on my build in thread Help me max hp, 65 425

You may just call the company who you are purchasing your converter from and tell them what you have as far as a setup, and what you intend to use it for. They would be able to match the converter to your needs.

The original trans in that car should be a variable-pitch TH400.
The converter for that trans is not the same as a standard TurboHydramatic.
If you want a performance "switch-pitch" converter I'd suggest you talk to Jim Weise at Tri-Shield Performance. He's well schooled in the VP TH400 and can guide you in your choice.

Jim built a couple variable pitch converters for me and they work great.
