Spark plug gap 72 Olds Stroked 455

Can anybody tell me the correct spark plug Gap for a 72 stroked cutlass 455 with edelbrock distributor.
Using NGK #7 V power plugs.
I'm reading a few different #'s. Mostly .045.
Can anybody confirm this is the correct gap?
Thanks.

They normally have a recommended gap as well.
Lots of variables but not sure why people do anything other than .035 or so. Nobody has ever shown a power increase at any other setting and a wider gap does nothing but stress the coil more.

The 1972 Olds C.S.M. specifies 0.030" for the stock circumstance on the V-8 engines.
