Roller rockers

Hi everyone. I am currently in the process of assembling the new engine for the car. I have run into a snag and I am hoping someone can help me out here. I was looking to get some Comp roller rockers PN 17044-16. These rockers were not in stock but the parts store had some Scorpion rockers PN SCP1018BL that cross over. The question I have is on the Scorpion website these rockers do not match an Olds engine. However the Comp website they are the same. Has anyone run into this?

Thanks.

I have heard that a certain model of Ford rockers will work with an Olds engine. I can't recall exactly, but I'm thinking it was rockers for 289-351 Windsors. Perhaps that is what was referenced.

If you are really serious about your Olds motor, look into Harland Sharp.

Yes there are ford units that can be used on the olds engines. But I have to ask the question "are they right?"

Everyone, hang onto this post for future reference.

As per HS and many other makers, the geometry of the Olds rocker is nearly identical to Ford Windsor, AMC and Pontiac.
I knew the late Rob Stepanio of Scorpion since my twenties. I once asked him why the different part number and cost for his Olds rocker vs the Ford, even though he makes the Comp rocker, which shares the same part number for both. His response? "Well Mark I can get more $$$ for the Olds". Rob was a shrewd business man but unfortunately he also made a few enemies along the way.
Even Randy at Harland Sharp acknowledged the same, the geometry among the 4 manufacturers is virtually identical.

Use the Ford Windsor style rocker, you'll be fine.
