Arrow Repro W30 manifld vs Stock iron vs Performer intake

Hi all. Starting to think about a mild freshen up for Delta coming up this winter, my winter that is, here in AU.

Probably only going to use new pistons to raise the CR to around 9:1, a pair of rebuilt stock C heads instead of the J's, either the stock cam (#400117 .435 lift) or mild other (#409691 .474 lift) and dual pipes. I'm keeping the stock 4v Q-Jet. Perhaps add a cold air intake pipe for a laugh.
I am trying to keep it all stockish looking under the hood.
I've already bought a Posi 3:23 centre (currently 2:73), just have to fit it.

This will be consistant with the top towing package for the Delta model in '73 or there abouts. Its only to be a street cruiser, after all, its a 4300Lb car...

So my question is does a W30 (repro) intake flows better than the iron equivalent? or was it aluminium just to save weight for the W30? It looks the same as the iron one.

Also does the mild refresh warrant an Edelbrock Performer?

The W30 repro intake looks to have all the right holes for all the Old's connections (except EGR), the Performer does not.

All replies appreciated.

Iron is the most trouble free, and flows well enough that Sam Murray's 67 ran 10s in D/Stock.
