I bought a set of these for my '72 Supreme but have heard (and read) the various horror stories about them and what a PITA they are to use.

I like the look of them but will not sacrifice functionality for aesthetics.

Can anyone help me out with some advice on how I can avoid getting kicked in the butt by these if I use them?
