Hello. I am converting to rally gauges and I am struggling to be confident with where the new sensors are supposed to go. This is a 455 with A/C. Can anyone help? TIA!
Remove the factory idiot light senders, and replace with the correct gauge sending units. They go in the same location.
There is a green wire on the ignition switch that technically needs to be removed from the connector. That will solve the “full hot when cranking” issue.

My issue is that the sensors were not in the endine, so I just want to comfirm where they go.
The oil pressure sensor goes on the ledge between the water pump and intake manifold and the temp sensor goes on the front of the intake manifold next to the waterneck.

There is another port behind the oil fill tube. What goes there?
There is nothing on the block near the oil fill tube.
This is a 350, but the oil gallery hole is on the same location.
So far as the coolant temp sender goes, it's usually in the drivers side coolant passage. The one on the passenger side is for the factory vacuum tree that is temperature controlled. It keeps the distributor from fully advancing unto the engine warms up.
The oil sender for the gauges will require an extension tube to clear the intake and timing cover. Make sure to use either teflon tape or liquid teflon to seal these or you will have oil leaks.
