Radiator replacement reccomendations

I am happy to report that I got my 455 running pretty good. Unfortunately, it is overheating. The amount of gunk and rust that came out was astonishing, and even though I have flushed it 3 times and it is still not helping. I am still trying a few things, but I am suspicious that my radiator is just not working like it should. That being said, I hope to one day build my 455 to the 5-600 hp range. I am wondering if it makes sense to put in a rad that is adequate for that now? I seen aluminum ones go for 199, and then cold case looked to be in the 300-500 range. Just looking for thoughts from people who know more than I.

I have heard good things about champion aluminum radiators. I have a Be-Cool in my 69, been in the car for probably 15 plus years.

Did you ever pull the block drain plugs to actually remove all the rusty water?

"I" would not install a new radiator until the coolant was staying clean for at least a week.

Its been close to 230. It climbs steady, doesn't seem to cool much at all, even down the road. Water is flowing. I'm going to try again today, and double check everything.

The 4th flush was the trick. Never even gets to 190 now.
