Quick Question...455 Main Cap Torque

I'm building a 455, and am putting the crankshaft in it at this time, and want to verify what the Torque Spec is for the Main Caps. My Chilton manual says ALL V8 torque to 120 ft lb on all caps, but then it has a little "2" Footnote beside it, and it says Main Cap 1-4 torque 80 ft lbs, #5 torque 120 ft lb, so I am confused. What does the Main Caps torque too on a 1972 455?

Thanks!

big blocks, all caps 120. Go in steps and bump #3 so the thrust surfaces are aligned, cap to block. I bump the crank and then use a big screwdriver to hold the crank forward while tightening the bolts.

If it's not stated the factory lubed the bolts with motor oil. All friction surfaces (under the bolt head also). Without lube you will get a false torque reading. If you are using ARP lube or other than motor oil the torque value may be different. Many motors have failed due to improper torque procedures.
