Q-Jet Question. Mystery Fitting!!

Can someone tell me what this fitting is for on the back of my new quadrajet? Many thanks.

It's a manifold vacuum port. Could be used as a source for the power brake booster. If you don't need it, plug it. It appears that the fitting currently in the port is a male NPT to female inverted flare fitting. The easiest way to plug it is to unscrew the fitting and thread a small pipe plug into the throttle body.
