Hello everyone – I have a question has probably been answered in other parts of the forums, but I can’t seem to find one that is specific to my situation. I have a 71 Cutlass S, that originally had a 350 in it, it was changed to a 455 from a 1973 before I had it. I had to replace the power steering pump, and even though I took what I thought was sufficient photos, I apparently did not take enough, because I have it bolted back in, but the pulley on the power steering pump doesn’t look like it lines up completely correct with the pulley on the water pump. I’m not sure if the power steering brackets are from the original 350, or from the 455; or if there is even a difference. Does anybody have the proper diagrams for these? There’s always a possibility that I didn’t put a washer in the right place, or something along those lines. The pictures that I saw online, when I zoomed in on them, they got blurry and I could not tell what was going on. Thank you in advance for your help, included as a picture. It was hard to get the picture at the right angle from what I can see it, it either feels like the top bolt where the bracket connects to the water pump, should either have a washer.(which it did not have when I took it) or the bottom bolt needs to go in some, but it’s in all the way. Scratching my head on this one for sure!
Fun71- the links you posted are great and also led me to some other links- I think I may have missed the washer between the slider to adjust the pump itself, and the pump. Gonna go down the wormhole tonight- thanks again
