Power steering Bracket 71 442

Is the Power Steering the same for a 350 as it is for a 455? My bracket is to long the front of the bracket is in line with the first groove on the water pump and flywheel pulleys. the car has A/C the brackethas a 1 3/4" offset. I got a diffrent bracket today it has the same bolt hole pattern but is made a little different. but it has the same offset. Iam not sure the car has the right bracket nothing else has been right.

They should be the same for 455 and 350. There are different variations, but all bolt up in the same location. Alignment issues usually stem from mismatched pulleys, missing spacers, or an incorrect water pump length.

stampings KF water, KC crank, and KH power steering should all line up perfectly in a 71 with a 5.6" water pump snout.

my flywheel pulley the water pump and the altenater line up fine. the water pump has the right numbers stamped on it. it looks like the power steering will be lined up with the front 2 grooves instead of the back 2. The fly weel and the water pump are 3 groove

Then it is possible you have the incorrect power steering pulley.

KH steering goes with KF crank pulley, a 5.6" water pump and KC water pump pulley. These are the correct pulleys for a 71'

KK and KE won't work with that steering pump.
