olds engine builder in Oklahoma

Does anyone know of a good Olds engine builder in the Oklahoma area? I have a 62 Starfire, and just pulled the 394 engine. I have talked to two different Machine shops that were not at all familiar with the engine. Information I have found here has convinced me to find someone that knows this engine to do the machine work. Any help would be great...It doesn't have to be in Oklahoma, for the right deal, I will ship, or take a road trip.

What part of Oklahoma are you in? If you are in Northern, you are only 3-4 hours away....you could bring it up to Kansas. I had my motor machined, balanced, and rebuilt in Topeka at S & K motors in N. Topeka. Great guys that do great work. They are a little slow, but VERY thorough. They are well-known for the quality of work that they do.

I will be watch'n this thread, as there are no longer any engine builders here in OKC "that I know of" that I would trust to do machining or a short block.

Looking back I wish I would of got mine rebuilt by Buddy Rice before he passed away, as he was truely one of the best around here.

His son has now taken over the operations of his shop.
