JMO, today's cam bearings usually have a small enough hole that no restrictor is called for. Up to .150" is good in the bearing.

I have never run restrictors and have never had a problem. I have had some pretty stout strip motors with stock oiling. As long as shifting is kept below 5500-5800 max you should be fine. At most possibly shim the spring in the stock pump to slightly increase oil pressure.

Why? Check the oil flow diagram in the Chassis Service Manual. These do NOT restrict oil to the rockers. Also, Search is your friend:

I shimmed the OP spring on the 403 recently made viable again. Very happy with the pressure. It's about 60 cold, and 45 warm. Steady as a rock.

All they are is pipe plugs with a hole drilled in them.
Probably selling to ya as a kit, comes with a tap so you can screw in the pipe plugs that cost him a couple dollars and a tap from china that cost another 2 bucks.

How much does he want for his main oil restrictor kit ?
