My 1971 455

Hi everyone. My 1971 455 has a stuck pushrod and the rocker arm is blocked. My mechanic suggested that I replace everything, rods, rocker arms and hydraulic tappets. Where do you recommend I look for the pieces here in the States and have them delivered to Venice? Do you think it's right to replace everything? Thank you

The pushrods only touch at the two ends. There's no physical way for them to get "stuck" unless you have a much bigger problem (like a bent pushrod). If that's the case, you need to understand what the underlying cause of the problem is. The pushrod is just the symptom.

Welcome to CO.
Question, was the engine running normally, if so what happened?

What does “rocker arm is blocked” mean? You need to give an accurate description of the issue in order to get any meaningful replies.

I do not know. my mechanic found the oil very old and black. However, the compression is good and the engine starts and revs without problems

If you’re asking about lifters, rocker arms and push rods, any auto parts store can get them.

Ah, the location doesn’t show on my phone like it does on a real computer.
