motor in but oil on the floor?

Im pissed beyond explanation! i dropped the motor in and the next day i look and it done pissed all on my floor. Now never mind my pristine concrete carved from mount rush more now having a blemish from motor oil. But i'm pissed cuz my motor is leaking(slow). I sat there the other day for about 10 min and didn't see a drop. The motor is the only thing in the car and since theres no trans its slanted back some. Could this be the reason i have a puddle on my floor? I'm going to look tonight when i get home but i just wanted some ideas before i go in.

Is there not evidence of an oil "trail" starting from the point of leakage on the engine? Get your "brightest" light out and check over the whole engine. Wish I could be more help.

Mount rush more?

I would rush more to get a drip pan or some cardboard on that floor if I were you.
If you're concrete was sealed the oil would wipe right off.
Hindsight is 20-20.

I think you need to watch for more than ten minutes if you didn't see anything?

It's very possible that's what the problem is, tilt it back up and prop it in place and see if it stops.

The engine ever been run?
The drain plug isn't leaking or the engine so tilted it leaks out the rear of the pan gasket or seal? Oil filter adapter gasket? The only other thing I can think of right now is that the oil is pooling in the rear of the heads and leaking from the valve cover gasket or dripping down, if it was run, but isn't there an oil return hole there?
If so I'm full of it.
Rear crank seal?

Also check to make sure your oil filter is on tight. Check the oil filter mount bracket as well. to make sure the bolts are tight.

You know i'm not even going to shoot that idea down, sounds like a good idea though. Luckily i got under it last night and its coming from the oil pan drain i guess i either need a rubber seal or to tighten it.
