Junk yard find

I found an unmolested 67 Olds 98 at a junk yard. I bought the carb and air cleaner. I asked him if it ran and he said it ran great but the trannny was out. He said $200 for the motor and he would pull it. I asked myself why I would want a 425 but for $200 it might be worth stumbling over it for a while. What do you guys think? It had C heads on it.
Thanks

Should be worth it whole or in parts. If big valved, the heads alone are worth it.

That crank alone is worth 150 bucks.
Same with the heads if they're in good shape.
Check the oil pressure with a gauge, and if it's good, I'd cough up the dough in a heartbeat.

It's been sitting for a few years. I put the carb on my 455 and it worked great, There is no way to start it now. I think I'll tell him $150 and I'll take a chance on it being a runner. The color of the inside of the exhaust manifolds will tell the story on how it ran last.
I got my original 455 block for my Olds and a 454 BBC and a 496 BBC scattered around my shop now. I guess one more won't hurt.
