J2 Air Cleaner

I was cleaning out my storage unit (1975 Custom Cruiser,so I can sell it) and found the "long lost" J2 air cleaner I had planned to use on one of the projects. I don't think I will ever use it so I plan to sell. Can you guys give me an idea what it is worth ? Thanks for your help . John

Is it the batwing style or the round style. I have seen the batwing style sell from $300 depending on condition to up to $1200. The round ones I have seen sell in the $250 to $350. range.

I sold a good condition one for $450. last year.

This one is basically round with an opening to the front ( 6 o'clock on watch hand) and a second smaller opening at about 4' clock. The J2 sticker is on the base at about 7 o'clock. Is this the "round" style or the "bat wing " style ? Thanks !

Smile Gasp

The '57 round breather has three holes for the carb studs in the lid and the lid has a sunburst pattern stamped in it; '58 has one hole with plain lid

Thanks guys, looks like I have a 57 model (3 holes and starburst pattern ).There is a big swap meet in Sacramento in early August - think I will take there to try to sell . Should I clean it up (surface rust ) and paint it or leave it original with factory J2 sticker ?
