Intake crossover

Trying to put my car back together using the Felpro 1356 after 2 failed attempts with the turker tray gasket. Performer intake is not blocked on the crossover so I ordered the crossover plugs from Ebrock #2733. With the plugs installed won't the gasked just burn through or is this OK. Read a post where one guy cut a piece of the old tray and used to block the head. Won't this leak.
I'm lost.

Any tricks to installing the plugs so they won't rattle.

I know of a particular engine builder that fills Chevy crossovers with Hi Temp RTV and a ball of aluminum foil pounded into the head. 13 second cars to boot.

He has no issues so I would think if the heat doesn't burn through that, a slather of RTV and a peice of the tray will have no issues. I've heard using the gasket is fine as well. The turkey trays USED to come with some crossover covers...optional use of course.

I think there is a specific temperature resistant epoxy that can be used to hold the plugs tight and prevent them from rattling. Unfortunately I do not know where you can get it. I do not think the gasket would burn through if the plugs are installed.

I installed my Mr. Gasket gasket as per the instructions with no plugs or "pieces" of turkey tray. I've never heard about the cross over burning through the gasket.

I bought the crossover plugs from Jegs. They are metal not aluminum so I figured they belonged in the head vs the intake so that is where I put them. Just ground them down a bit to the point where I would only have to do some pounding. They fit like a charm. I won't ever have to worry about burn thru.

I got a set of those plugs with my intake manifold but decided against using them. I've also heard they can come loose and rattle.

I have only seen one set and they too were in the heads --Pretty sure that is where they are supposed to fit ?

Not thread stealing but does anyone know what hp may be gained ?? theoretically ?

I think this may have done it, drove about 60 miles and no leaks, sure seems to run better. (with wife had to drive my age)
I did install the plugs in the heads per the ebrock instructions sheet and filed progressive groves in the plugs for a better bite.

Thanks for all your help!

10-15 depending on what other upgrades you have done. But free horsepower is free horsepower.
