hv oil pump or change to standard?

Just a quick question for all you oil people. I have recently rebuilt my 455 and I left it pretty well stock except 30 thou over pistons and a hv oil pump. I also put in hydraulic lifters too. After I warm it up I can hear the faintest tappet noise at around 2000rpm. I am wondering if the hv oil pump is the culprit, maybe starving the top end a little? Also I have speco gauges and I am getting a reading of around 70 for oil pressure when cruising down the highway? I know these gauges can be out but from what I read on other threads that is too high.

Unless you are building a ***** out race engine, stick with the stock pump.

Did you relace all the rockers and stands when you rebuilt it? Are they all tight? What oil are you running?
