Help would be appreciated with 1969 455 Toronado

okay so here's whats going down, my brake booster is junk and now my headlights won't go up the windows radio and seat don't work anymore and my biggest problem is I was playing with the distributor and the order looked wrong it wasn't 1 8 whatever it looked like it went 1to 3 i don't remember the rest otherwise i wouldn't have this problem so i set it to go 1-8 and now it refuses to start and backfires really bad sorry that my explanation is bad im young and dumb which is why i bought his car

OK, first the firing order on the distributor. Oldsmobile distributors go counter clockwise, different from other GM cars. So the order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 in a counter clockwise rotation will probably fix your backfire/not starting issue.

Brake booster, I'd purchase a new or rebuilt one. The headlights are vacuum operated. Check the vacuum lines to see if one of the connections came loose.

Radio and seat, check your fuses first, then my second thought would be grounding.

Try these and let us know what the results are.

Oh, and welcome to the site! Please share pictures of your car with us when you have time.

Looks like a nice car! Welcome to the site. You are not dumb to have bought that car. Just take one thing at a time. You'll get it!

BOTH the headlights and the brake booster are vacuum operated. Before spending a dime on new parts, be sure this isn't something simple, like a common vacuum line has been disconnected.

Welcome to the site, looks to be a solid car. As others said, troubleshoot before buying parts.

Yes a brake booster leak will affect overall vacuum. You can buy vacuum tube by the roll online.
