Help..help....hei

Sorry for starting a new post guys but I have to get this fix asap...going to a show today...I hope!!

So I got the car to start this morning but the new hei is making a clicking sound....and I got one hell of a shock

so the coil instructions said to ground using the coil screw..as you will see in my first pic
The plug from my new distributor has three wires that is 1 yellow....1 red....1 black that hooks to nothing.....is there suppose to be a ground wire of some sort going to that black wire on the distributor plug???

That plug will plug in only one way most likely the red wire towards the firewall.
If there is no ground wire don't worry about it.

the coil has to ground somewhere

It's been a while but I think you are missing a "wire" that is a formed pc of conductor from the center terminal to where the coil's black wire is secured at a mtg screw.
