help 455 low compression pistons swap?

help 455 low compression pistons swap?

hello again i have a 72 455 with ga heads small valves the cylinders are in great shape about .001 over stock bore size i was gonna hone it and put new rings on but now im thinking i could swap the pistons and get a little more compression can anyone tell me if this is doable and what pistons to get and what the compression would be thanks!

I am in Erie(actually Girard).Where are you? You could install another set of stock pistons,from a 68-70 455.They have a much smaller dish.The 2bbl engines had a slightly larger dish,but still smaller than the dish in your 72 pistons.I have stuff like that here,if you decide to do that.

thats good news im in cambridge springs let me know what ya got i wasnt sure how much the compression would be with the 1970 style high compression pistons with the 72 ga heads thanks
