has anyone modified 68-72 455 header to fit g body

trying to save some bucks and have some hooker headers for a body but need a set for g body. I think the problem will be with the driver side. anyone tried this what do I need to modify.

The G body has a very tight engine bay, so quite a bit of mods will need to be done, and the results are not guaranteed. I think only one company had headers for the G but I cannot remember which one. From what I remember they were not the greatest either.

When I was in college we had a 1980 Cutlass with a 455 in it as an SAE (Society of Autmotive Engineers) project car. As I recall it had headers but the engine and exhaust barely fit in the car. I remember the steering shaft was actually modified with a 1/2" drive wobble socket welded into the middle of it to clear the headers. Truthfully, it wasn't much of a project car.
