Front galley plugs... Do they need thread sealer?

like the title says... should the front oil galley plugs have thread sealer on them, or just be put in dry.

any particular torque spec on them or just in till tight?

Thanks!

Finnaly installed my Voodoo 60803 tonight, getting ready to degree it tomorrow, then button up the bottom end!

The factory didn't use sealer, I have never used any, I don't think its needed. If I remember correctly the torque spec is 35 ft lbs.

Just oil them and install. I'd use Permatex on the rear plugs as they are NPT.

Where is the front going to leak to, the crankcase?

As for the rear, the RH NPT unit should be sealed, as it would leak to the exterior. The LH is NPT but needs no sealant, again, it would leak to... the crankcase.

The LH rear -does- however need to have a HOLE IN IT. To lube the distributor gear &c.
