fighting in the shop

One of my car buddy in the neiborhood wanted to argu with me all day we were about to put on the gloves about the orginal color of my 455 block it is currently being built and I ordered some oldsmobile blue to paint back on it because that what is suppose to be the block is an F block it 396021 an 1971 block according to the number in my 1971 442 clone I trying to tell this idiot that the color is suppose to be olds blue not gold the gold for that year block was for small block. We almost had to take out the boxing gloves please help thanks

You didn't know that Golden Rocket engines have more horsepower than regular Rocket engines?

I'm going out on a limb here and guessing he's a Chevy guy.

455- 1968-69 exc Toronado: Olds red

1968-69 Toronado: light slate metallic blue. Like Pontiac metallic blue, but a little different when viewed side-by-side.

1970-73 all- Olds dark metallic blue. This looks "bluer" than the

1974-76 all- Olds medium metallic blue which is more turquoise. Also on 1975-76 350's.
