Fan hits

So suddenly the fan decided it wanted to start slapping the bottom of the fan shroud when the motor is cold or I am in reverse. Upon inspection I discovered that the fan shroud was not installed perfectly correct (won't go into the detail) so I bought a new shroud but I got to thinking that maybe the real fix is to check the transmission bolts to the crossmember and tighten them or shorten the spacer used and bring the back of the engine down so the front raises up slightly and solves the problem without a major teardown of the front cooling system.

Thoughts????

You may want to check the motor mounts as well

Year? Model? Engine? Trans? Clutch fan or fixed?

What trans mount are you using?? A stock rubber style replacement? A polyurethane replacement? I had to remove one of those junky polyurethane replacements from a customer's car. It was too tall and was also crushing the console shifter cable.
